Honeywood is a beautiful estate, full of young families of all shapes and sizes. We are very lucky to have our very own primary school, fantastic parks and lots of events and activities especially for the little (and not-so-little!) ones. We have put together some information for parents & young people in the estate regarding local facilities and activities that you might be interested in. We hope you find it useful!

The Honeywood P&C President is Philippa Du Plessis, who also happens to sit on the HRG Committee as our School Liaison Officer. She is also a current member of the School Board.
The purpose of the P&C Association is to work together with the Principal and Staff of the school to provide the best environment for the children. Honeywood Primary School P&C organizes many fund-raising events, the proceeds from which are used to purchase resources for the school. The P & C may also organize parent workshops and busy bees around the school. We encourage all parents to be involved in the P & C community!

Honeywood Kids Choir
In late 2016, we got a bunch of Honeywood Kids together to rehearse and perform a musical number for our Carols by Candlelight event. The kids had such a great time practicing that they couldn’t wait for the next chance to perform! Hence, the Honeywood Kids Choir was formed.
We currently rehearse on Monday afternoons at 4pm at the Wandi Community Hall Club Rooms (just behind the playground) located on De Haer Rd, Wandi. All children ages 6 – 16 are welcome, regardless of skill level. No experience is required, and training will be provided! As well as learning fun songs to perform at local events (like Carols and Harmony Day) we do exercises and games to help teach rhythm, melody and harmony. The musical director / instructor for the choir is currently Jo Minney, who has a diverse background in performance and music theory.
Kids (or musically inclined adults interested in volunteering) are welcome to swing by one of our weekly rehearsals to give it a shot, or for parents who would like to find out more join our Facebook group!
